Tre’s Barber Institute was built to kill that old line: “you don’t learn anything in barber school.”
That might be true in some places… but it’s not what we’re on.

Backed by 3KB (3Kings Barbershops), we created the school we wish we had—run by people who actually live this every day. This isn’t a “watch a video and figure it out” program. No YouTube University. No guessing. No shortcuts. We teach the craft with structure, standards, and real coaching.

Our instructors are licensed professionals with years of experience in both cosmetology and barbering, so students don’t learn one lane—they learn the full picture. From fundamentals to advanced techniques, client communication to professionalism, we make sure our students are prepared for real life behind the chair.

At Tre’s, students learn the full game:

• How to cut confidently on all hair textures

• How to handle real clients (including kids + different personalities) with professionalism

• How to build their brand and business, not just collect hours

• How to use social media to grow a real client base

• How barbering can open doors beyond the chair: mobile barbering, educating, competitions, content creation, leadership, ownership

We’re a small business, and we’re proud of that. Staying hands-on and community-rooted is how we keep our school affordable and stay true to our mission: serve Austin, train barbers the right way, and create real opportunities for people who are ready to work.

Most importantly—everyone is welcome here. Our students come from all backgrounds, all walks of life, and different cities and stories. Whether you’re starting fresh, switching careers, or leveling up your skills, you’ll be respected and supported here. Our facility includes wheelchair-accessible restrooms and stations, because access and comfort matter.

We’re located in The Domain in Austin, and we’re open to the public with affordable services—giving our students real experience under instructor supervision while serving the community.
